Event Announcements, Part 2

A Cigar City beer dinner at El Jefe Luchador is just one
of the events added to South Florida Beer Week.
Happy New Year, everyone! 2013 is upon us and that means South Florida Beer Week is just a few short weeks away. Today we're announcing a few more events - as always, keep your eyes on this page for ticketing information and further updates. Until then, here's what's happening in South Florida:

January 21
Cigar City Brewing Night at the Blind Monk in West Palm Beach. Check out the limited and one-off bottles of Cigar City available at the Blind Monk from 6pm on.

January 22
Craft Beer Happy Hour and Pairing at OTC. OTC (short for over the counter) is Brickell's brand new from-scratch kitchen, serving seriously savory food and great craft beer. For SFBW, OTC will pair four dishes with four beers and serve each "course" a la carte for a special price! Pairings include Maduro-braised short rib and brie grilled cheese sandwich with Cigar City Maduro Brown Ale, chipotle BBQ pulled pork sliders with Tequesta Gnarly Barley, beer-battered shrimp and corn fritters with Monk in the Trunk, and roasted beet and feta salad with Ommegang Witte. Starts at 5pm.

January 23
Cigar City Brewing's Classy Beer Can Dinner at El Jefe Luchador. Deerfield's El Jefe Luchador serves hardcore Mexican street food meets over-the-top foodie indulgence, all brought to you by the guys behind Charm City Burgers and The Rebel House. For this "classy beer can dinner," El Jefe will serve four courses of specially concocted grub paired with four beers from Cigar City, including the brand new Jai Alai, Maduro, and Florida Cracker Cans. Tickets and menu info will be released on Friday morning this week. Only 25 seats will be available, so come back and snag a few tickets before they're gone! Dinner starts at 7pm.

Local Tap Takeover at JG McGuinness'. Weston's JG McGuinness' is the hottest new craft beer bar out west, featuring nearly 30 taps, stellar food, and the vibe of a comfy-but-modern Irish pub. Starting at 8pm, JG's will feature some rare and one-off craft brews from Florida, plus live music. Come party with us and check this place out.

January 25
"Anything But Clothes" party at Ye Olde Falcon. The folks that frequent Davie's oldest craft beer bar, Ye Olde Falcon Pub, are all about dressing up (and so are the bartenders for that matter). Last May, the bar hosted a superhero-themed craft beer night with special mixed beers and shots. This time around, they'll feature Cigar City and Holy Mackerel beers on tap while challenging all comers to dress up in anything but traditional clothing. Get creative and come out to party.
